Baby Alex is here!

She was born at 3:45 on Jan 02 2012. We are both fine!

The bad nurses have taken her to the nursery to take measurements, bath and clothe her & I can hear her crying from my room!!! She's hungry, the poor sweetie.

I'm going to sleep now or try to. Will post pics soon!

I had an appointment today to see if the baby was ok as I'm in the week 20.
Everything's perfect and I came home with some 3D pics of her, which are really cool. (3D didn't exist when I had the older ones!).

Week 17 today.

Here you can see my growing belly. It looks like a pic for a catalogue! LOL.

Week 17

Hubbby and brother are doing the Camino de Santiago by bike. Kids, sis-in-law, nephew & I are meeting them on Sunday (with the car) and well spend the most delicious five days in Galicia. See food (barnacles, muscles, oysters, clams, cockles, crayfish, lobsters, spider-crabs & crabs, etc. etc.) here I come!

I've just noticed that some names sound quite disgusting!

I'm a bit sad because due to pregnancy I won't be able to drink Terras Gauda, albariño white wine from Galicia. Very, very good. My fav white wine so far. BUT I'll buy some to drink next year, after the baby's born.

August, I'll be in Barcelona with my mum... where she'll be taking care of me!

I'm really pregnant: I heard the heartbeat this morning! I cried and finally was able to breathe normally.

I called hubby immediately and we are both ecstatic.

I think we'll tell the kids tonight, the weekend at the latest. Can't wait!

Still feeling nauseated though. :(

I'm going to the midwife & obstetrician tomorrow for my first visit and frankly, I'm quite nervous. I just want to know if the baby is alive; then I can start enjoying this pregnancy. I suppose it's what happens when you've already had a miscarriage in your life: you're more prudent about the news and who you tell.

So, send good vibes for tomorrow. *G*

You are NOT forgotten.

Today's my son's birthday. He's 12, not a kid anymore nor a teenager yet. I call him silly pre-teen. *G*

Went out last night to celebrate and came home 4:30am. Woke up at 8am and have been like tired mess all day.

Can't go to sleep yet though A) it's only 8pm and have still to make dinner and B) Spartacus at 10pm!!!!!

My sofa looks very inviting right now. I better see what it wants!

Happy New Year! I have faith 2011 will be a fabulous year. For all of us.

I'm back after two weeks away. One week in Barcelona at my mum's and one week at the in-laws. Was OK but I needed to be home after so many days. Happy to be back.

Got loads of presents this year ... and I liked them all!

My nephew is the cutest little thing and -luckily- looks exactly like his aunt as I've already informed his proud parents. *G*

Talked to my dad while I was in Barcelona. Has a gf in Ghana or Senegal (two years younger than me, BTW) and is thinking of getting married. Soon. I told him I'd like to meet her. You don't know how hard it was to say those words, how much it cost me to sound normal and not judge or criticize him. I'm quite proud of myself actually. So maybe in the near future I'll be making a trip to some South African French speaking country. I'm still trying to come to terms with what I said. Does it mean I've forgiven him? Because I know I haven't. I'm confused.

Anyway, love for all of you out there.

Daughter: Mum...
Moi: Yeah?
Daughter: Erm... would it be better for everyone if I were smart?
Moi: ... Huh? Smart how?
Daughter: If I were smart like my brother. It would be better, right?
Moi: ...
Moi: Why?
Daughter: It's just... you wouldn't get mad when I don't know my lessons and brother and his friends call me stupid.
Moi: You are NOT stupid. You ARE lazy!
Daughter: I know! *laughs*

Five minutes later...

Moi: and remember what I told you about boys laughing at you now...
Daughter: yeah, they like me so they make fun of me.
Moi: That's right. And that you'll have your revenge when you are 15.
Daughter: I know mum BUT that's in 7 years!!!

Haven't been around for a while. Don't have much free time anymore. Wish I did, really.
Work, kids, house & dogs keep me occupied during the week; husband & barbecues on weekends.

Have the best husband, brother & sis-in-law ever. Went to Barcelona last weekend for a surprise party. Was amazing and I cried when I saw my best friend. We've been friends since we were both in 8th grade. How old are you then? 12? 13? Am now 35. Can you believe it? He's an amazing person and has been there always. Maybe not everyday but when it mattered most to me. I love him.

For the last two years I've been thinking about babies. It comes and goes. For a while, I really want to have another baby but then I think about the freedom I have right now that my kids are old enough to stay home alone or go out with us and I wake up. *G*
It's happened again since february. Hope it passes soon!

Have to go to make dinner. Kids are out with the dogs & should be back pretty soon.

I hope there's Chuck tonight.

Finally got home. Am going to have lunch. Me very hungry.

Just realised that I'm awake more than 17-18 hours per day.
I usually go to bed around 12:30-1am and get up at 7am.
That means I only get 6 hours to relax and sleep and it doesn't seem that much.
I understand now why I fell asleep on my poor dear husband (literally) at 10pm last night.
I feel much better today as I only worked from 8:30am to 3pm.

I still need Derek/Sarah recs, pretty please?

I've been watching the seasons 1 &2 of The Sarah Connor Chronicles the last few days.

Just finished reading

indiefic 's Derek/Sarah fics. If I thought them good before I had any knowledge of the series, now that I've watched it -and am quite obsessed with it- I'm totally in love. Man, you know how she writes. it was hot, it was deep, it had meaning. I could NOT stop reading till the very last fic. Then there were no more. :(

Now I want more Derek/Sarah. Recs, anyone? I totally blame indie for that! *G*

ETA: my second week in my new job is almost fnished. I'm dead tired & my feet are killing me! Going to make dinner and then sofa all night long.
